Outcast Queen: Her Return from Hell novel Chapter 355

“Dad, are you really going to hand over our twenty percent trump card to that traitor?” Warren kept his voice low, his face twisted with resentment before the meeting began. “What if she's secretly buying up retail shares? Her stake could easily surpass yours!”

“If she becomes the largest shareholder, this company will become her personal dictatorship!”

Alistair leaned back in his chair, looking perfectly composed. There wasn't a ripple of emotion on his withered face. “Why panic? Since I dared to agree to her terms, I naturally have a backup plan.”

“What backup plan?” Warren looked at his father in shock.

“While the stock was crashing, I quietly had my people buy the dip. I've scooped up almost all the free-floating retail shares. Furthermore, more than half of the people sitting at this table today are my men.” A shrewd glint flashed in Alistair's cloudy eyes. “Even if she gets your twenty percent, she'll max out at thirty percent. Shake my position? She's dreaming.”

Warren's expression shifted as he drew a sharp breath, secretly marveling at the old fox's cunning.

So the old man was thinking three steps ahead, setting his traps before making a single move. No wonder he had controlled the Prescott family for so many years; his unfathomable calculations and ruthless methods were truly terrifying.

As the minutes ticked by, every shareholder took their seat.

But the main character of the day—Phoenix—was nowhere to be seen. The atmosphere in the conference room grew restless, and signs of annoyance appeared on several faces.

Yet, knowing that Phoenix was the only one who could fix this mess, everyone was forced to swallow their complaints.
