Outcast Queen: Her Return from Hell novel Chapter 384

The Miller Estate.

The atmosphere in the massive living room was suffocating. In the dead silence, everyone's shifting, uneasy gazes kept darting toward the two figures seated in the guest chairs of honor.

Phoenix and Pierce sat side by side.

Despite being guests, they radiated the overwhelming aura of sovereigns, forcing the entire room of Millers to feel like subjects begging for an audience. Even the highly respected patriarch, Gideon Miller, looked diminished under their sheer presence.

"A family tragedy... an absolute tragedy!" Gideon slammed his cane against the floor, his long sigh filled with exhaustion and heartbreak. "Why has our family produced such monsters one after another? First Marcus, and now Mavis! Will they only be satisfied once the entire family is dragged into hell?!"

"Grandpa, please mind your health," Milo Miller quickly stepped up, gently rubbing the old man's back. "The priority right now is finding Merry."

"Yes, Merry... we have to find her!" Gideon's cloudy eyes suddenly lit up as if grabbing onto a lifeline, staring desperately at Phoenix and Pierce. "Phoenix, Pierce, the two of you have limitless resources. Do you already know where she is?"

Phoenix nodded slightly, her expression cold. "The last time Merry and I spoke was a few days ago. Based on the intel I've gathered, she was likely still overseas right before she vanished. There's a very high chance she's being held in a foreign country."

She spoke with absolute certainty, though a faint, undetectable glint flashed in her eyes.

This narrative was, of course, a smokescreen. Mavis's spies had almost certainly infiltrated the estate. Until she could confirm Meredith's exact location, she had to play along and misdirect the enemy.

"Overseas?" Hearing this, Cora Miller swayed, nearly collapsing. "The world is so big, it's like finding a needle in a haystack. How are we supposed to find her? I've spent years expanding our business abroad, and I know exactly how deep those waters go. If someone disappears in a foreign country, it basically means..."

Her throat choked up, unable to finish the sentence.

A crushing wave of panic gripped her heart. If Meredith was gone, she might never see her again.

"I carried her for nine months and finally got my daughter back. Have I not even heard her call me 'Mom' enough times before losing her again?" Cora's eyes were red as she gripped the hem of her shirt. "I won't accept this... I absolutely refuse!"

"Cora, don't panic," Thaddeus quickly wrapped an arm around his wife's shoulders, suppressing his own anxiety. "Whether it's domestic or overseas, even if we have to dig up the earth, the Miller family will put everything on the line to bring Merry back."
