Outcast Queen: Her Return from Hell novel Chapter 46

The lights of the banquet hall swirled. Just as the guests' focus was shifting away from the miserable state of the Lucas family, a new, elegant figure completely captured everyone's attention.

Macy Monroe was dressed in a pure white, floor-length mermaid gown. The silky satin hugged her stunning curves perfectly, and a flawless, cold-cut pigeon-blood ruby hung from her neck. She looked completely different from the fiery, passionate woman she was at the nightclub.

Right now, she looked like an ice goddess formed from holy moonlight, yet her aura was like a raging wildfire sweeping across a prairie, carrying an untouchable sharpness and aristocratic grace!

Julian’s breath hitched, his gaze instantly burning hot enough to sear through a person.

He immediately straightened his stiff spine, his fingers almost nervously smoothing over his immaculate hair and tuxedo collar. Plastering on what he believed to be his most charming smile, he hurried forward to greet her.

The blueprint for his glorious future was already rapidly unfurling in his mind—

Winning over this rising queen of the business world meant connections, wealth... everything would be in the palm of his hand!

“Ms. Mon—”

“Phoenix!”

His respectful greeting slammed right into an invisible wall of ice!

The cold, noble figure didn't even spare him a millisecond of a glance. Like a gust of wind carrying the crisp chill of snow-capped mountains, she breezed right past his carefully rehearsed posture and swept toward the radiant figure behind him—

Phoenix!

The smile on Julian's face froze and shattered instantly, as if he could hear the sound of his 'future' breaking like glass.

He turned around stiffly, moving almost frame by frame—

Only to see the biological sister he viewed as a dirty stain being affectionately held by the arm by Macy!

The undisguised doting and intimate glow in Macy's eyes stung Julian so badly it physically hurt.

“Macy, you made it.” Phoenix flashed a bright smile, naturally squeezing her hand back.

“This is the big day of my Princess Phoenix's coronation!” Macy's voice was clear and melodious as she affectionately shook Phoenix's arm. “Of course I had to put on my best battle armor to come cheer for you! I've even prepared a gift!”

Her posture was like that of a knight queen guarding her most precious treasure.

This scene of deep sisterhood and blending auras left countless pairs of eyes in the hall wide with shock!

Julian felt as if the flesh on his face was being scraped raw by countless gazes.

His previous ruthless vow to 'make her pay a hundred times over' had now transformed into countless invisible slaps, viciously smacking him dizzy until his head spun.

He could even feel the resentful glare from Phoebe in the distance!

“Leo Vance has arrived—!!”

Yet another massive bombshell of an announcement crashed down!

Julian felt like he’d been electrocuted. He looked toward the source of the sound in sheer terror—

The burly Leo Vance, accompanied by a few towering, intimidating men radiating bloodlust, strode into the venue like a conquering warlord.

That oppressive, blood-soaked aura of the underworld completely clashed with the glitz and glamour of the room.

An absurd, terrifying thought uncontrollably popped into Julian's mind—Could this demon... also be here for...?

“Is he insane?! Leo just gave away his lifeblood?!”

“...He just... gave it away?”

They watched as Phoenix didn't even bat an eyelid, taking the document completely naturally. “Leo, you're too polite. Have a few extra drinks with my grandfather tonight?”

“Hahaha! Gladly! Mr. Alistair is a true hero! I definitely need a good drink with him!”

At this moment, everyone's worldview was viciously crushed and hastily pieced back together.

Initially, they only thought that Phoenix had just been released and had absolutely zero foundation.

But now...

She had the unwavering backing of the elders from both the Prescott and Sterling families. That was her background.

She had the deep sisterhood of Macy Monroe, bringing corporate gifts. That was her strong ally.

And she had Leo, a terrifying underworld boss, forcefully offering up his lifeblood business in submission...

How was this having zero foundation?! She was literally standing on gold bricks, holding a blade in her hand, with massive pillars of support surrounding her!

A triple-layered foundation! Indestructible!

“Phoenix, my turn now!” Macy laughed and, like performing a magic trick, pulled out another document. “Ignis Global...”

She deliberately dragged out her words, watching in satisfaction as the crowd held their breath once again. “The core development project on the West Side... is now... yours!”
