Outcast Queen: Her Return from Hell novel Chapter 47

Whoosh—!!!

If Eclipse Nightclub was a money-printing machine, this golden piece of real estate on the West Side was undoubtedly a goldmine capable of digging up diamonds!

Its value was completely on par with the Sterling family's highly anticipated Legacy District Project!

At this exact moment—Phoenix Prescott! She had completely finished her transformation from a 'returning orphaned daughter' into a 'new-money corporate queen'!

Countless gazes instantly turned reverent, burning hot, and even laced with a hint of fear! Not a single person dared to underestimate this woman who had been 'exiled' and 'served time in prison' ever again!

Inside the VIP area.

Arthur Sterling, leaning on his dragon-headed cane, had sharp, eagle-like eyes flashing with an incredibly complex and highly admiring light.

“Old man Alistair...” His voice was deep and powerful. “This granddaughter of yours... is a phoenix meant to roost in the highest trees, yet your family tossed her aside like a stray chicken for over ten years! Now this momentum of her rising from the ashes... it’s unstoppable! It’s terrifyingly impressive!”

Alistair's chest heaved violently. The shock, the joy, mixed with his absolute fury at Warren's family of idiots, almost burst from his throat.

He only managed to choke out a few words: “...My biological granddaughter!”

“Hmph!” Arthur rolled his eyes without bothering to hide it. “Biological granddaughter? It's a shame your biological son's family... is about as useful as rotting wood! Just look at the circus act they put on earlier! I feel embarrassed for you!”

Alistair's old face flushed between green and red. Looking at Warren's family in the distance, his gaze grew as sharp as a blade. It was high time to scrape the poison off the bone!

“Good thing...” Arthur smugly and slowly pulled his phone out from the inner pocket of his suit. Unlocking it with his fingerprint, he pulled up a crystal-clear photo—against a deep red background, the gold-stamped words 'Marriage Certificate' were blindingly conspicuous!

He deliberately shoved the screen right under Alistair's nose. “See that clearly? These two little terrors kept us old bones completely in the dark! Turns out! They're! Already! Married!”

He smugly watched Alistair's eyes instantly bulge in shock, thoroughly enjoying the embarrassed look of a man choking on his own breath.

“Stunned, aren't you? Ha! This bowl of water has already been poured into the Sterling family's field! If you old bird want to change your mind now... there's no way out!”

“If you ever fail to cherish her in the future, the Sterling family will.”

“You... you...!” Alistair pointed at his old rival, nearly suffocating. The dowry! He had been planning to extort a massive dowry!

And now... it was gone?!

“Alright, alright!” Arthur patted his shoulder, a sly glint in his eyes. “The dowry will absolutely not be a penny short for the Prescott family! A precious gem like Phoenix entering our Sterling family—this old man wouldn't dare mistreat her, no matter what!”

“Phoebe! Don't talk nonsense!” Vanessa immediately threw herself at the bedside, grabbing her icy hands. “What dazzling?! She got all of that through dirty tricks! If she didn't crawl into that Macy woman's bed, she definitely slept her way up with Leo! Despicable! Disgusting!”

Beside them, Julian, who had been silent with a face so pale it was twisted, seemed to have finally found an outlet. He suddenly let out a low roar: “Exactly! That bitch Phoenix is just a dirty whore who’d sleep with anyone! What other skills does she have besides selling her body to please people?! What right does she have to step on me?! She's just trash! She always will be!!”

Jealousy had completely incinerated his last shreds of sanity.

Any kind of logic was meaningless in the face of the violent contrast of being stomped into the mud.

He just wanted to drag that radiant figure down and crush her into pieces!

Warren took a deep breath, fighting to suppress the complex emotions churning in his chest.

He knew Julian's words were vicious and baseless, but the massive sense of failure and the panic of being replaced made him desperately need an explanation, a vent.

He walked over, his heavy hand resting on Julian's trembling shoulder. “It's too late to talk about this now! The point is, this wretched girl is in power now! Your grandfather has already nodded and let her into the corporation!”

His eyes were dark, his voice like poisoned ice. “With a posture like hers, does she look like she just wants to be a shareholder? It's obvious she's been plotting this... she's coming back for a reckoning! To snatch away everything that rightfully belongs to us!”
