"I know. I won't get upset anymore. For the baby's sake, I'm never going near Sarah again."

"If she ever dares to bully you again, you tell me," Samuel barked, his voice thick with aggressive pride. "No one touches my daughter! Who does she think she is? If I didn't teach her a lesson, she'd think she could just tear this family apart!"

Sarah pushed the door open, her icy gaze locking onto Samuel.

Seeing her standing there, the color drained from Samuel's face, quickly replaced by a vicious sneer.

"You were acting so tough on the phone last night. What are you doing here now? Begging?"

"Did you hire those people to frame me?" Sarah asked, her voice completely dead.

"How could your father do something like that? You're being paranoid," Regina forced a stiff, unnatural laugh.

Framing your own flesh and blood to ruin her career wasn't exactly something they could admit out loud.

Sarah slowly turned her gaze to Regina.

"The hospital staff don't even know what happened yet. How did you know exactly what I was talking about?"

Regina choked on her words, snapping her mouth shut.

This girl used to be so quiet and obedient. Now she was a nightmare.

Deciding it wasn't her battle, Regina grabbed an apple and a knife, aggressively peeling it by the bed.

Samuel stepped forward, furious. "I haven't even punished you for what you did to Samantha last night, and you dare walk in here and interrogate me?! If you hadn't provoked her, she wouldn't have ended up in the hospital with cramps! She is carrying the Jameson heir! If anything happens to that baby, I will end you!"
