Chapter One Hundred Two
The calm of early evening shattered in an instant.
“Alpha. Luna. We are under attack.”.
Clam
The mindlink hit them from multiple directions at once-sharp, urgent, layered with the unmistakable edge of battle.
“Rogues are advancing from all sides. What are your orders?”
Talon stiffened immediately, his entire body going still for a fraction of a second as he processed the information.
“All sides?” he demanded through the link.
Before Diana could respond, the office doors slammed open.
Enzo strode in first, already in full alert, his expression sharp and focused.
Behind him came Galvin, tension radiating off him like a blade drawn.
And just behind them-
Leah, her face pale but steady, already preparing herself for what was coming.
“Alpha,” Enzo said without preamble, “what are your orders?”
The air in the room shifted.
Talon stepped forward, his aura flaring-not wild, not uncontrolled-
But absolute.
Commanding.
“My Luna and Leah will guide all non-combatants to the bunker,” he said, his Alpha voice carrying weight that pressed into every wolf in the room.
“Enzo-you take the south border. Hold the line and make sure no rogue breaches the inner territory.”
A step to the side.
“Galvin-west border. Reinforce the perimeter and coordinate with the outer patrols.”
His gaze hardened.
“I’ll take north and east.”
The plan was clear.
Efficient.
Immediate.

And then-
“No.”
The single word cut-through the room.
Talon’s head snapped toward Diana.
“I will take the north,” she said, her voice calm but unyielding. “You focus on the east.”
A dangerous silence followed.
“You are the Luna,” Talon said, his tone tightening. “And my mate. Your duty is to protect the pack members who cannot fight.”
Diana didn’t even flinch.
“I am also a warrior.”
Her eyes met his-steady, fierce.
“And not just any warrior.”
A step forward.
“I am a strong one.”
Her voice dropped, but it carried more weight than his command,

“And no one-not even you, Alpha, my mate-will tell me to stand aside while my pack is under attack.”
The tension in the room spiked.
Talon’s jaw clenched.
“You chose a mate who is a warrior,” Diana continued, her tone unwavering.
“You live with the consequences of that.”
A beat.
“And one of those consequences…”
Her eyes burned into his.
“Is that I fight.”
Talon took a step forward, ready to argue-
But Enzo cut in sharply.
“Alpha.”
That single word was enough.
“We don’t have time for this.”

His voice wasn’t disrespectful.
“But it was firm.
Grounded.
“Every second we stand here arguing is another second the rogues are advancing.”
Silence.
Heavy.
Talon exhaled sharply through his nose.
He hated it.
Hated letting her walk into danger.
But he also knew-
She wasn’t wrong.
“We will talk about this later,” he said tightly.
Diana didn’t even blink.
“No, we won’t.”
Her tone softened just slightly-but her stance didn’t.
“This is what it means to be mated to a warrior.”
A brief glance at Enzo.
“And as our Beta said-we don’t have time.”
She turned, already moving.
“I will take the north.”
Her voice shifted-Luna authority now flowing through it.
“Talon, you take the east.”
Then to Enzo-
“South is yours.”
To Galvin-
“Hold the west. Reinforce the outer line and do not let them flank us.”
Then she turned to Leah.
“You will move the pack members to the bunker.”

A pouse.
“Rowan and Selene will assist you.”
Leah straightened immediately.
“Understood, Luna.”
The room snapped into motion.
Talon watched Diana for half a second longer-
Just long enough to meet her eyes.
A silent exchange.
Be careful.
Always.
Then he turned away.
“Move!”
His Alpha voice thundered through the pack mindlink.
“All warriors to your assigned positions!”
“Non-combatants to the bunker immediately!”
“Hold your ground!”
“Make them regret stepping into our territory.”
Outside, the night had fully fallen.
But the darkness wasn’t quiet anymore.
Howls erupted from the borders.
War cries.
The clash of wolves meeting in battle.
The Royal Pack was under attack.
And they were ready.
Cla
Diana moved fast through the corridors, Leah at her side as they began directing pack members toward the underground bunker.
Pups cried.
Mothers gathered their children.
Elders were escorted carefully but quickly.

“Stay together!” Leah called out.
“Keep moving-don’t stop!”
Diana’s presence alone steadied them.
Her aura-
Strong.
Protective.
“Everything will be fine,” she told a trembling mother, placing a firm hand on her shoulder.
And somehow-
They believed her.
Because she believed it.
Even as, deep inside-
