Outcast Queen: Her Return from Hell novel Chapter 58

The Conference Room.

Julian sat at the head of the table, perfectly radiating the domineering aura of Prescott Group's Executive Vice President.

A single sharp glance from him was enough to send cold sweat down the spines of the executives in the room, all of them terrified of making a mistake during their reports and incurring his wrath.

While Warren was officially the President of Prescott Group, he had effectively handed the reins of power over to Julian. Calling him the true acting CEO of the conglomerate wouldn't be an exaggeration in the slightest.

"Mr. Julian, that concludes my department's report. We await your instructions," Clarence Vance, the Project Manager, said with utmost respect.

Julian frowned slightly as he flipped through the financial statements, his voice heavy. "No major issues on this end. However... now that the Lucas family is facing total bankruptcy, we must sever all business ties with them immediately. We cannot afford to be dragged down with their sinking ship."

"Understood. We held an emergency meeting last night to initiate the preliminary liquidation of our joint ventures with them," Clarence replied quickly.

"Excellent!"

Julian nodded, quite satisfied with Clarence's rapid response.

"Since the key players are all here, I have an announcement to make. Starting today, my sister, Phoebe, will be officially joining Prescott Group. I expect all of you to ensure she is well taken care of."

Right on cue, Phoebe pushed open the doors and walked in.

The moment Julian saw her, the icy demeanor on his face melted away instantly, replaced by a warm, affectionate smile. "Phoebe, come here."

Phoebe walked over to him, her voice sickeningly sweet. "Julian, did I arrive late?"

"No, you're right on time." Julian's eyes overflowed with pure, unadulterated favoritism. "I just announced that you'll be joining the company. Now that you're here, go ahead and say hello to the senior staff."

Phoebe turned to face the room and offered a polite, graceful bow. "Hello, seniors. My name is Phoebe. I am so incredibly honored to have the opportunity to learn from you and work alongside you all."

She flashed a playful, endearing smile. "Please excuse my clumsiness. I look forward to your guidance."

Undeniably, Phoebe had a very sweet, innocent look about her. Combined with her soft, polite tone, she easily won over the room.

Instantly, the executives jumped at the chance to flatter her.

"Don't worry about a thing, Phoebe. We'll make sure you're well taken care of."

Phoebe's eyes immediately lit up. Both of those projects were massive, highly lucrative goldmines.

If she successfully closed those deals, Alistair would be forced to respect her, and Phoenix... would easily be swept out the door like the trash she was.

"Clarence, as the Project Manager, you will personally show Phoebe the ropes and help her adjust to the environment. Also, brief her fully on the exact details of both projects," Julian ordered.

"Understood." Clarence nodded eagerly.

Just then, Julian's secretary hurriedly stepped into the room, leaning down to whisper in his ear.

"Mr. Julian, the representatives from Sterling Group and Ignis Global have just arrived to negotiate the partnerships."

Julian's eyes widened in excitement. Turning to Phoebe, he smiled. "Phoebe, your chance to shine has arrived."

Phoebe feigned a look of intense conflict. "Julian, is this really okay? Phoenix must have paid an... unimaginable price to secure these projects. While it would definitely spark terrible gossip if people found out how she got them... for the sake of the company's reputation, I... I can let her handle them."

"Who cares!" Julian scoffed, waving a hand dismissively. "The moment those projects entered Prescott Group, I became the one who decides how they're handled."
