Percy walked over, actually addressing them politely this time.

Emma frowned. She had almost forgotten—Raymond might have cleared everyone else out, but as a fellow heir of the Harrington family, it wasn't strange for Percy to stick around.

She completely ignored Percy, turning around to find a hot spring pool to soak in.

Pamela was the first to approach.

"There's a spa upstairs. You've been playing by the beach for days, make sure you don't get sunburned. Your skin is just flawless, so radiant and glowing."

Pamela's tone was warm. Emma smiled slightly, feeling a bit shy from the compliment.

"If I'd known you two lovebirds were coming here today, I wouldn't have brought Raymond over. With his legs... I always try to bring him for extra massages so his muscles don't atrophy. In my heart, I'm always holding out hope that maybe, just maybe, he'll be able to stand up again one day..."

Pamela lowered her eyes, speaking with a hint of guilt.

Emma pressed her lips together and comforted her, "It's fine. The bathhouse is huge, so it's not crowded at all. Really, it's okay."

Even as she said that, she couldn't help stealing a glance at Raymond in the distance.

Was it really just a coincidence?

"Pamela, Raymond asked me to bring you some water," Percy said, walking over. He casually handed a glass to Emma as well. "Emma, this is yours."

Percy didn't say anything out of line, so Emma couldn't justify glaring at him. She just pressed her lips together and accepted the drink.

After handing out the water, he left. Pamela took a sip and gently reminded her, "Drink up. You don't want to get dehydrated and dizzy from soaking too long."

"Okay."

Emma took a couple of sips and soaked for a little while longer. Raymond came over to say he was heading for a massage and asked Percy and Carter to tag along, mentioning they could discuss the company's future development.

Pamela warmly told them to go right ahead. She then turned to Emma. "The French food here is excellent. I'll go grab you a plate."

"I'll go with you," Emma said, stepping out of the pool.
