He Waited She Wilted (Ottilie and Yorath) novel Chapter 125

Wearing a surgical mask and a wig, Nyssa was fully disguised.

But Ottilie recognized her immediately. Giving a polite nod, she quickly averted her gaze.

"You're here to see Yorath too, Ms. Sewell? What a coincidence," Nyssa said.

The elevator was packed. Having zero desire to chat with her, Ottilie just nodded in acknowledgment.

But Nyssa clearly wanted a reaction.

"About my dinner with Mrs. Fordham the other night... it really isn't what you think."

"Ms. Tarrant, when you overact, it just looks fake. People can see right through it."

The elevator chimed at the general ward floor, and Ottilie stepped out.

She truly didn't care what Nyssa thought.

Pulling out her phone, she checked the room number Yves had sent and checked the doors one by one.

She finally found it. It was a shared room with three beds.

The other patients had caretakers, but Yves was entirely alone.

Seeing Ottilie walk in, Yves immediately sat up. "Tilly, you made it."

"Yeah. Why are you all by yourself? Does no one take care of you?"

Setting the food carrier on the bedside table, Ottilie reached out and fluffed a pillow behind his back.

"It's just a few scrapes, and I can walk fine," Yves explained. "I didn't want to tell my parents; they'd just worry."

"Then I'll take care of you." Ottilie opened the carrier. "I cooked this myself. It might not be that great."

Yves took a bite. "It's delicious. It tastes like a real home-cooked meal. Have you eaten?"

Ottilie had been in such a rush to see him that she hadn't touched a bite.

"I already ate," she lied.

Yves smiled. He drank half the soup and left the rest in the thermos.

"I can't finish it all. You should have the rest, it's a shame to waste it."

Ottilie ended up drinking the remaining chicken consommé, leaving the two drumsticks untouched at the bottom.

She served one to Yves.
